Platoro Reservoir Restoration Project

In 2008 the District began Phase I of the project, which worked to repair the crest of the dam and keep the reservoir working properly. This kept the reservoir operating properly which helps meet agricultural, recreational, and municipal needs in the Conejos Water Conservancy District.

Phase II was implemented in 2011 and work was done again to repair the crest of the dam. This work done allows for the district to better meet obligations to the Rio Grande compact, protect fisheries, and supply water for agriculture in the district.
